Every now and then I used to get e-mail from h4x0rs who taunted you and tried to trick you into visiting their website that consisted of http colon slash slash and an ip address. I just recently realized why they even bothered. If you're running an http server on your local machine, you just examine the log, and you get the dupe's IP address. Smurf city, here we come. Awful silly thing to do at all, either way.
The moral of the story is: if someone tries taunting you into visiting some website with an impermanent IP address, Just Say No.
